This week’s Raw saw a lot of development regarding the Elimination Chamber PPV coming up in 3 weeks. From participants getting announced, to qualification matches, as far as entrant orders being decided. Let’s check out what was confirmed on yesterday’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Roman Reigns and The Miz qualifies for the Men’s #1 Contendor Chamber match.
Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt was already scheduled to go one on one on Raw for a berth in the Chamber match. Another match was announced on the episode as Miz took on Apollo Crews in another qualification match.
Roman Reigns won his match against Bray Wyatt as everyone expected and Miz also beat Apollo Crews to qualify for the Chamber match. The two join Braun Strowman, Elias and John Cena in the star studded match.
Participants for Women’s Elimination Chamber title match revealed.
Kurt Angle took to the ring on Raw to announce the participants for the Women’s Chamber match. The women Alexa Bliss will defend her title against will be Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Bayley, Mickie James and Sasha Banks. Kurt also announced Nia Jax isn’t on the card because she will face Asuka on the PPV and if Nia manages to win, she will be added to the Wrestlemania match between Asuka and whoever manages to win the title inside the Chamber.
Big win for Elias in the main event to determine Elimination Chamber entrant order.
John Cena, Braun Strowman and Elias were involved in a triple threat match to determine who would enter the Chamber last. For those who don’t know, 2 men start the Chamber match and 4 other people are locked in the pods at the 4 corners of the ring. Every 5 minutes, a new member is drawn at random and he enters the match. This goes on till all members are in the ring, eliminations occur by pinfall or submission, the last man standing wins. The last entrant spot is a lucrative one as the Chamber match is usually highly punishable and the last entrant usually comes in fresher than everyone.
