The race for top 4 heated up while leaders Barcelona continued their perfect undefeated run in La Liga,not a beautiful win but the job was done elsewhere Getafe thrashed Celta Vigo while Atletico Madrid continued putting pressure on the log leaders.Here’s our La Liga week 24 team of the week.

Atletico’s shot stopper put on a yet another good perfomance recording his 16th clean sheets in 24 league games,conceeding only 9 goals throughout the campaing.Impressive! 7.5/10
Left-Defender/Back:Jordi Alba
Looked sharp and enjoyed going forward more which paid off after scoring a winner sealing off the game.7.5/10
Centre-Back:Pique
He seemed quite solid at the back,neutralising Eibar’s counter attack threats.Looks ready for more action for the rest of the season after minor injury setback.7.5/10
Right-Defender/Back:Giminez
One of the reasons behind Oblak’s great run of clean sheets.He was influential at the back winning almost every dead ball and pressed high. 7.5/10
Left-winger:Asensio
Impressive perfomance from the youngster who is in outstanding form scoring a brace in Real Madrid’s 5-3 victory.8.5/10
Central Defensive Midfielder:Busquets
Controlled the midfield once again,fared well defensively and assisted the centre backs with opponents’counter attacks.7.5/10
Central Attacking Midfielder:Parejo
Scored his second consecutive league goal from the spot.Was pivotal in playing a box-to-box role connecting defence well with attack.7.5/10
Right-winger:Gameiro
Had a decent game coming in as a sub to score and assist Diego Costa .His cameo perfomance was good enough to earn a place in team of the week.8/10
Left-forward:Suarez
Scored the opening goal to close up the gap in the top goal scoring charts after Messi’s incredible assist.Made good runs through the channels to keep opposition defenders busy giving space to his teammates.8/10
Central-striker:Diego Costa
Got back to his scoring ways,he seemed more sharp with his movements and work rate,he also good strength on the ball.7.5/10
Right-forward:Messi
Looked a bit relaxed assumely because he was saving energy for the upcoming Champions League clash.Though he got unlucky in the game to hit the crossbar,he however produced masterclass by creating space where there was no space to set up Suarez’s goal wth his 11th assist of the season.He also equalled Michel’s 147 all-time most La Liga assists record.8/10
