PSG TO HOST OLYMPIQUE MARSEILLE

This Sunday will not be a normal Sunday, we will have the chance to watch lots of derbies and PSG-Marseille is one of them.

The game will be played this Sunday, 25th of february, 8PM UTC. The game will be live on BT Sport 3 in the UK. It will be streamed for free on (insert streaming website)

Earlier this season, Marseille hosted PSG at home and it was a very exciting game, Neymar getting sent of just when Marseille was winning, Cavani scoring a free kick in the last minutes and killing every Marseille fan’s hope…

Undoubtedly this game will be exciting as well. PSG is 1st in Ligue 1 and Marseille is 3rd with just one point behind Monaco. There still is a 13 point gap between PSG and Marseille which is not little.

PSG has an average of 3 points at home in Ligue 1 which means that they’ve won every single Ligue 1 game at home, not even one draw. This stat is very interesting but keep in mind that PSG didn’t play one of the top 4 this season at home in Ligue 1 yet.

Marseille will be the first top 4 team to face PSG in Parc des Princes which makes this game even more and more interesting. It would still be hard for them as their goalkeeper, Steve Mandanda will not play as he is injured. There still is good news for Marseille as Neymar, Berchiche and Verratti are unlikely to play too. Neymar is sick and has no injury so he is more likely to play than Verratti and Berhiche. Still, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Possible line-ups:

PSG: Areola – Alves, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Kurzawa – Lo Celso, Motta, Rabiot – Mbappé, Cavani, Neymar (or Di Maria if Neymar will not be able to play).

OM: Pelé – Sakai, Rami, Rolando, Amavi – Zambo Anguissa, Luiz Gustavo – Thauvin, Sanson, Payet – Germain.

Both teams have been in great form, in the last 5 games, PSG has collected 12 points (4W1L) whereas Marseille collected 11 points (3W2D).

But when it comes to Head to Head, things start to look very bad for Marseille. In the last 5 confrontations between the two teams, PSG has won 3 times, when the other two games ended as a draw.

For me, PSG will struggle a bit but they will win this game. They have a much better squad and they’re playing at home.
