5 Talking Points of WWE Raw

Today’s WWE Episode of Raw comes live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The show begins with stills from the last night men’s Elimination Chamber match.

1: Alexa Bliss and Mickey James came out, followed by Asuka. We get snippets of their matches from the elimination chamber. Bliss claims that she’ll break the undefeated streak of Asuka at Mania. Then Nia Jax came out and there of them started attacking Asuka. Sasha and Bayley came out to save Asuka.
Thus a tag team match is booked between the 6 of them.

“Sasha Banks, Bayley and Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss, Mickie James and Nia Jax”
Winner: Sasha Banks, Bayley and Asuka.

2: John Cena segment: Cena comes to the ring and he’s more serious than ever. He talks about how he failed to grab his opportunity at Royal Rumble and how he again failed last night. After a pause, he says that he’s figured out what to do. He challenges the Undertaker for a WrestleMania match. The crowd goes crazy at this!

However, Cena says that match is not happening. He doesn’t make the matches, and he’s been told that this match can’t happen. So, as a free agent he’s going to SmackDown Live tomorrow to set up his road to WrestleMania!

3: Next we had two solid matches.
Seth Rollins vs The Miz:
Winner- Seth Rollins
Just after this match, Finn Balor comes out, setting up,
The Miz vs Finn Balor:
Winner- Finn Balor

–Next we had a segment with Roman Reigns where he calls Lesnar ‘piece of crap ‘. Usually WWE trash talking stuff.

4: 2 of 3 Falls for the RAW Tag Team Titles: Titus Worldwide vs. The Bar
A decent match with yet another predictable win. The Bar won the match 2-0.

We have a match between Elias and Braun Strowman. A quick match with a disqualification finish. Strowman won the match via disqualification, when Elias sprays a fire extinguisher in Braun’s face.

5: Finally, we have the Ronda Rousey segment. Hunter and Stephanie come to the ring first and a video package is shown of what happened last night. Stephanie revealed that Kurt was not in his mind last night. He was hallucinating with crazy ideas and he is now suffering from double pneumonia. So she demands Kurt to come out and apologize.

But instead, Ronda comes to the ring, followed by Kurt. Kurt apologizes and says that everything he said last night was a lie. And he’s sorry for that.
So now that everything is settled, HHH and Stephanie are about to leave when Ronda says Stephanie to apologise to her, for slapping her last night. After hesitating a bit, Stephanie did apologize to her, and they are about to leave when HHH hits Kurt with a right hand. There music hits as they are leaving, while Ronda is checking on Kurt as Raw goes off air.

An overall good episode, with the highlights being the tension surrounding John Cena’s Wrestlemania opponent and the slight tease WWE is giving for the highly anticipated Taker Vs Cena match.
We’ll found out more about it in the weeks to follow.
