●Messi and his stellar free kicks:

Argentine was brought down by Thomas and gave away the free kick which decided the game. It was his third free kick goal in three La Liga games and 539th goal for Barcelona. ●Iniesta’s hamstring injury:
Andres Iniesta suffered hamstring injury during the first half and substituted by Andre Gomes who came off the bench and didn’t impress the Camp Nou as usual. Iniesta was taken off in the 36th minute being found pulling his hamstring. Now, he may not play against the Blues in Champions League on March 14th. There was heavy tackles coming from Diego Simeone’s side which even costed them the game.Iniesta was brilliant with the ball as usual before he was taken off. It’s a big blow for ErnesteValverde as the man who scored against Chelsea in 2009 is doubtful.
●Greizmann fails to impress:
French man was not his best against Barcelona as he once again failed to score a goal in Camp Nou. Greizmann is yet to open his account in Camp Nou and was hoping to score his first today against the Catalans. Greizmann is expected to join Catalan side in Summer and sources claimed that paperwork has been done. The French striker is almost 100m euros including his buy-out clause. Greizmann came into this clash with 7 goals in his last 2 games and scoring 4 goals against Leganes. However former Real Soceidad striker was rushing forward but couldn’t find the back of the net.
●Battle between the managers:
The clash saw battle between both Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and Barcelona’s Valverde. Erneste won the battle handsomely and get closer to achieve the title as invincible. It was the first time in 10 games as Erneste tasted his first win against Simeone. Valverde who emerged victorious on the night with a smart, collective and a professional performance against Atletico Madrid. Barcelona side looked compact, a well-drilled unit that did not consistently play tippy-tappy football but fought their way to all three points. Now, it’s time for Valverde to face off Conte and his men in Champions league clash.

●Threatening Atletico in second half:
Atlectico Madrid were pressing hard during the second half and yet were unable to find back of the net. Diego Simeone brought in Angel Correa, Lucas and Kevin Gamerio in the second half in dreams of winning the game but it was not enough to beat the well settled Barcelona’s defense who were rock solid at the back. Atletico looked far more threatening as Angel Correa worked in their favour with a shift to 4-3-3. Simeone could have gone for the jugular in this one but his reactive start to the game led Barcelona to now have one hand on the coveted title. This win has also strengthened the dream of going unbeaten in the league this campaign.
