WWE Legend The Big Show Retires After 17 Year Contract Expires
Paul Wright better known as The Big Show has been a stalwart of WWE for the past 17 years. He always had a place on the show and although this irked some fans, they have come to realize it was management who did the booking and not the wrestler. Fans have grown to give Show the respect he deserves and were heavily appreciative of him in his series of bouts against Braun Strowman. However, Show hasn’t been on TV since September 4 episode of Raw when he again lost to Braun Strowman in a steel cage match where he was thrown through the cage wall post match. It was reported that the spot was done to remove Big Show off TV so that he can get hip surgery that he needed.

However, in a recent interview,Big Show revealed that his contract expired this February and as of now he isn’t under contract to perform for WWE. He also added that he wants to retire peacefully stating: “No last matches, no fanfare, just ride off into the sunset and disappear.” On being asked about his future, he wants to pursue a course in the Jetson’s Cartoon and try and do some more movies. He also stated that he might continue working for WWE as an agent or ambassador of sorts which do not require on screen appearances.
Yesterday big show quietly let his contract expire he is now done as an in ring performer and will be a backstage agent for the #WWE.
He had 2520 matches in 23 years of career.

If his words are true and Big Show’s time in WWE is up, he will be leaving a celebrated future hall of famer. WIth 4 World Championship reigns and 18 cumulative Championships under his belt, he will certainly be remembered as one of the greatest of all time and perhaps the greatest giant to ever step foot in the ring, second only to the late great Andre The Giant.
