Preview of India V Bangladesh T20I in Nidahas Trophy

India take on Bangladesh for the first time in Nidahas Trophy on 8th of March 2018 at the R.Premedasa Stadium in Colombo. The viewers in India can watch the watch on DSports channel.

Indians got a setback after dominating the Afrikaans in the T20 and ODI series winning them comprehensively. The thought of trying to find a good bench strength hit back at the management, however all is not done as all the players in the eleven are in the squad for a reason. Shikhar Dhawan who is in the form of his life would like to continue the same, but the onus will be on the standing captain Rohit Sharma to perform as he failed for four consecutive T20’s now. One of the bests when it comes to T20 cricket- Suresh Raina, who performed well against South Africa, would like to chirp in with a fine knock along with Manish Pandey. Rishabh Pant who failed to attract the cricket frenzy nation in the first T20 will be eager to prove his mettle and justify his selection in the team. The bowling line-up especially the seamers have to lift themselves up to win this crucial match.

Bangladesh have plenty of problems to deal with. They boarded the flight in the absence of their key all-rounder Shakib al-Hasan. Their key batsman Tamim Iqbal hasn’t played much cricket and failed to perform in those he played, he will look to start afresh and put the pressure on the Indians right from the word ‘go’. They have hit an all time low as they won only one game out of the last 10 T20I’s they’ve played.

Bangladeshis would like to buck up and put up a strong performance. Their bowling line-up looks good on paper, however Mustafizur, Taskin Ahmed and Rubel Hossian were hit all over the park in recent times. All depends on the confidence and the efforts they put up on field tomorrow.

Head to Head:

Bangladesh has never won a T20 game against India, a record not many teams want to have.

Writer’s Take:

This game is going to be a thriller as India wants to win the game and stay alive in this series and on the other hand Bangladesh would like to start the series with a bang and erase the unwanted record of not beating India in a T20 game.
