After going unsold in the auction, Mitch McClenaghan was probably devasted as his this tweet indicated:
Just a quick thanks to @mipaltan and @ImRo45 for the last 3 years. Was a great experience and enjoyed every moment. All the best this year and will watch on with interest.

But now his fortunes took a turn as he is called again by the same franchise to replace the injured Jason Behrendroff for the 11th season of IPL.
Mitchell McClenaghan was bought by Mumbai Indians in 2015 auctions for just 30 lakhs and his performance was outstanding. He is known to give his 100% whenever he is on the field and this is reflected in his record as well.
He has won two IPL trophies in the three seasons he has played for Mumbai and is also their and IPL’s leading foreign wicket taker in last three seasons with 54 wickets under his belt. The return of the Kiwi star will add strength to the line-up of Mumbai Indians before the start of the tournament.
