Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli’s wax statue is all set to be exhibited in the New Delhi Showroom of the famous tourist attraction wax museum, i.e.Madame Tussauds. The exemplary and well-reputed cricketer Virat Kohli’s figure will also join the statues of iconic sportspersons like Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. In the inspiring journey from the first-class debut in 2006 to becoming the Indian Cricket National Team Captain, Virat Kohli has had several rejoicing moments, bagging the Arjuna award, ICC World Cricketer of the year and three BCCI International Cricketer of the Year awards. Not to forget, Kohli has also been honoured with the ‘Padma Shri’ by the Indian Government, the fourth highest civilian honour in India.
Talking about his latest inclusion in the Madame Tussauds Delhi, the 29-year-old Kohli said, “It’s a great honour to be chosen as one of the figures at Madame Tussauds. All thanks to the Madame Tussauds team who were extremely patient during the sitting sessions and for giving me a lifetime memory”. A team of Madame Tussauds’ expert artists came all the way from London to meet the Indian star Kohli for the sitting. The expert team took over 200 specific measurements and images to create an authentic figure. The Indian skipper, currently, looks busy in the preparations and training for the upcoming blockbuster T20 League, the Indian Premier League (IPL).
