Out of the 12 venues for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia, comes the Kaliningrad Stadium, which will host four games from the group stage. The competition set to last month-long will be played in 11 cities and 12 stadiums which are:

Location:

The Arena Baltika is located on Oktyabrsky Island, Kaliningrad, Russia.

Capacity :

It is designed to contain 35,212 (Official) people but 35,000 will be the capacity for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Architecture :

The project is based on the concept of the Allianz Arena, which hosted matches of the 2006 World Cup in Germany. The project cost was planned around 11 billion rubles. The first match was played on 11th April 2018. The stadium following the 2018 World Cup will turn into 35,000 seating capacity. Kaliningrad Stadium is located only 45 kilometers from the border with Poland ( Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship), which makes it the stadium of the 2018 FIFA World Cup that is located closest to the European Union and the Schengen Area.
