The football carnival has begun all over the in Russia and all over the World. Now we are going to see Asia’s most appeared team South Korea and the unpredictable team from Europe i.e Sweden. One could not forget South Korea’s performance in it’s home in 2002 FIFA World Cup, where the team had finished in 4th place. Out of 10 times only 2 times South Korea had crossed the group stage. But from AFC Confederation the team is always cementing its place in the World Cup. After 12 years, Sweden is coming to FIFA World Cup. 1958 runners up did not have any promient achievement after that edition but for this World Cup we just can’t forget that Sweden has thrashed Italy and qualified, that’s why this team has to be mentioned as an unpredictable one. Let us focus on some important things from the upcoming fixture from Group-F.

● Team News :
○ South Korea :
South Korea did not have a good run recently as in it’s last 7 friendlies the team had just won 2 matches. The team is in a tough group and for it’s progress to next round the team has to win against Sweden and Mexic. The team is highly dependent upon Son Hung-Min as his experience in Premier League will help the Korean side. But the problem is arising in the shot-stopping side as not much experience stoppers are there and it has also shown it’s effect in their friendly matches, South Korea had conceded 12 goals in its last 7 match.
Not only Italy, it is the team which kicked out also the Netherlands. Berg and Forsberg are the two giving confidence in Sweden’s attacking side. In the whole WC squad of Sweden, Larson is only player who had represented Sweden 100 times. Surely his experience will guide them. The midfield and defence departments were in the same strength. On the goalkeeping side the team is not having experienced shot stoppers. The problem is same for Sweden as surely they will not qualify for the next round if they start with a loss. So the tough fight is there in the Group F.

South Korea and Sweden will open their 2018 World Cup campaign at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod, some 425 kilometers east of Moscow, on Monday. Both teams are in Group F, along with Mexico and Germany.
“We’ll just prepare as we’ve been doing,” Shin said at a press conference. “I’ve experienced the U-20 World Cup and the Olympics. Although this is my first World Cup, I don’t feel any pressure or nerves.””I think both teams are thinking that tomorrow’s match is a must-win,” he said. “I know fans in our country are sarcastic, but inside, in their hearts, I believe they’re really supporting us to get a win.”, added Shin-Tae-Yong.
○ Sweden :
Meanwhile Sweden Coach had come under a controversy on spying the South Korean team in their practice session in Austria. He expressed his apologies in the Post match press-conference, “You always want to know about the opponent,” Andersson said through a translator. “That’s something that we do as part of the staff. I don’t think that that’s bad. We have to understand our opponents. So that’s part of the job that we do.” “We wanted to confuse the Swedish team. Yes, that’s why we did that,” Shin said. “We heard that there was a Swedish spy.”
Asked if he had more “hidden tricks” for the game, Sweden’s Andersson responded: “Hidden tricks are only hidden tricks if they are hidden.”
● Author’s Take :
Both the teams were underdogs in their Confederation as per their recent performance, there will be no surprise because in the Group F these two teams can finish in the bottom of the Group, but can’t predict any thing. Some teams may give surprise by beating the biggest teams as the trend of the World Cup is seemingly so. Probably this match will end in a tie.
