‌Arsenal set to get their first 3 points of the season as they take on Sarri’s men at Stamford Bridge on August 18th (saturday) at (10:00 IST ). After a disappointing start of the season for Unai Emery, he would want to fix things and get back on winning ways as soon as possible. Emery already has pressure from the fans. They definitely lacked finishing and intensity in the attacking unit as they barely troubled City’s defense in the league opener, something that the former PSG Manager will like to change.

The changes fans would like to see would be :

Dropping Xhaka to the Bench :

Xhaka didn’t live up to the expectations as he got some of his passes intercepted by the City players and his positioning wasn’t great either. He didn’t do much of his defensive duties either. The 19 year old French men Guendouzi looked more confident on the ball than Xhaka. Fans would expect Guendouzi to keep his place in the team.

Starting Lacazette as a center forward :

Arsenal team looked more polished after Lacazette Came on as a substitute. He took a shot which nearly went in as soon as he came on and had few more shots after he came on. As Aubameyang gets himself stated that,
“We look for each other, we saw it [on Sunday] against City when he came on. I don’t mind playing on the left if Laca is in the centre. We both want to do our best for the team.”. Would be exciting to see them play together.

Giving Leno the ice breaker :

As Leno, the summer signing is yet to make his debut for Arsenal who moved from Bayer Leverkusen for £22 million. Fans would be excited to see how their new signing performs. Although Čech had a decent game against City. He made few errors. Like giving away a corner when ball was played back to him from defense.

Start Torriera :

As Xhaka hasn’t lived up to the expectations
It’s time to give the two signings a chance to see if they would gel with each other. Torriera did well after he came on. He almost got himself an assist too before the flag was raised for offside. It would be a joy to watch him and Guendouzi start as both of them proved their worth to be in the starting 11.

Monreal back in the starting line up :

As Ainsley Maitland-Niles limped off the field. It was a major set back for Arsenal as he was the third choice left back for Arsenal and seeing him go off the field with an injury got all the Arsenal fans worried but to see Monreal back training got smiles in their faces again, as the Gunners definitely missed Monreal’s presence against Manchester City. Hope to see him set things right for Arsenal.

What do Unai Emery have to say before the match?

Unai Emery has revealed that Cech would start. “Am very happy with his performance”, Emery said. “He has experience, he has quality, he has the capacity.

“Also, with Bernd Leno [it’s the same]. They are two goalkeepers who are important for us.

“They have different qualities but for us in the way we want to play, they can both play
He added to that by saying, “We wanted to start [in front of] our supporters, against a great team like Manchester City, but the difficulty on the pitch was big.”
The first game give us more information for things to improve.

We need to continue in our way, to make this difference in the next match and in the future.

“For me it’s most important the players know positive things we did, and also the things we need to improve

Arsenal

Team News :

Chelsea will continue to build on their win as they probably would line up the same way as they did against Huddersfield.

Arsenal have an injury boost as Monreal is back fit and has been training and even Welbeck is back training. Sead Kolasinac is still out injured would still take 6-8 weeks and that would be the same with Carl Jenkinson. Laurent Koscielny is expected to be back training around November. Joel Campbell career looks to have a come to an end and won’t be part of the match against Chelsea as he is in Italy to finalise his move to Frosinone Calcio.
