The Indian top flight clubs are currently busy in having their pre-season games. Some had their pre-season camps abroad while most I-League clubs preferred domestic pre-season camps. Just today two I-League clubs Chennai City FC and NEROCA FC notched victories against mighty opponents from ISL in the form of Bengaluru FC and NorthEast United FC respectively.
Last time there was quite a buzz when some I-League clubs locked horns with some ISL franchises before the start of the season. East Bengal was one of the I-League teams which not only played against three ISL franchises but did quite well against them. This time again the Red and Gold are set to start their pre-seasoning after the completion of CFL under the management of Alejandro Ménendez and they will face mighty FC Goa in their own backyard, an opponent whom they played during last year’s pre-season period as well.
FC Goa and East Bengal will cross swords on 22nd of September in the Bambolim Ground in Goa. FC Goa will also be launching their new jersey sponsored by Squad Gear on that day with several fanclub activities also set to take place.
