In form Pakistan to lock horns with mighty India

Pakistan:

Pakistan has been a strong ODI contender ever since the 2017 Champions Trophy. The current world champions and two time Asia cup winners- Pakistan would like to continue their top notch form against India and make their way to the super-4.

The Pakistani line-up looks settled with both their openers Imam-ulHaq and Fakhar Zaman seems to be in sublime touch ever since the Zimbabwe series in July. Having won against Hong Kong quite convincingly, Pakistan will only look to go from strength to strength.
With their fast bowling department headed by the spearhead- Mohammed Amir, Pakistani bowling line-up looks threatening and it will definitely be a challenge for the Virat Kohli less Indian team.
Pakistan would like to win this game and make their way to the Super-4 while India would like to give a strong reply after the champions trophy final.

India:

The Indian cricket team coming back from a long tour against England seems rearing to go and show why they are the best ODI side in the world. However, India have concerns with their no.4 and no.6 batting slots as the try and test method seems to fail every time.
Manish Pandey who seemed to be in a great form against Australia A might get a go at that slot while one feels that the War-horse of the Indian Cricket Team- MS Dhoni should bat at no.4 which might solve the middle order problems.
With Kedar Jadhav and Dinesh Karthik ready to take the no.6 slot India might go with Dhoni at 4 and Pandey at 5. But, Pandey has been failing apart from a few fire sparks here and there his career has always been dissapointing while it’s vice-Versa when it comes to Domestic or India A tours. Hardik Pandya who was rested for the encounter against Hong Kong is likely to come in place of Karthik.

India might go in with the left-handed fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed and strengthen their bowling line-up. Indian bowlers have been dominating the world cricket with Bumrah(who was rested against Hong-Kong) and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar troubling the batsman with their tidy bowling.
India would look to play off the initial overs and take the game from there on considering the form the Pakistani batsman are in, giving a stiff target (if batting first) will be the utmost priority for the Indians. Considering India’s middle order woes, the Indian openers need to fire for India to beat the in-form Pakistan.

The India-Pakistan encounters have always added sparks to the game of cricket ever since the inception. Losing against Pakistan in the champions trophy final has added fuel to the fire and the mighty Indians would like to make a strong point and exhibit their domination over Pakistan. All-In-All it is going to be one hell of an encounter with lots and lots of on-field drama.

Head To Head:

India and Pakistan have crossed swords 11 times in Asia Cup history. India have emerged victorious 6 times while Pakistan sealed the victory in 5 occasions with the last two encounters going in favour of Pakistan.
