After the prolonged saga of Churchill Brothers regarding them being part of the I-League inspite of being technically relegated last season has come to end as it is now confirmed that they are going to be the sole representatives from Goa in the upcoming I-League.
According to many, Churchill Brothers are making one of the strongest sides for the league and they may only not prove to be a tough nut to crack but may become title contenders as well. The Goan outfit is all set to complete their foreigners’ quota for I-League as they are bringing in one Serbian and one Mexican player soon replacing the two Brazilians who were with the team recently but failed to impress Gigiu and the Churchill management.
Nenad Novaković, the Serbian centre-back has been referred to the club management by their Lebanese defender Hussein Eldor. Eldor is well acquainted with the 32 year old defender who has been playing in Lebanon for a long time and has last played for Lebanese outfit AC Tripoli. The other player is a Mexican centre-forward David Izazola Ramirez. The 26-Year old has represented Mexico U-20 side and has last played for Salamanca CF in Spain. He has played for Honved of Hungary also besides playing for several Mexican clubs. Besides playing as a striker, he is comfortable in both wings.
Churchill Brothers is having a big squad this time which is currently under training in Goa. According to many, they are planning to field two different sides for I-League and GPL!
