It’s time to check out five such young players who are ready to rock the mat with their skills.


1. Vishal Bhardwaj (Telugu Titans) :

One of the season five’s sensational defenders in the left corner who played for Telugu Titans, VISHAL BHARDWAJ had a great season last year. The young talent who could not play enough games in season 4 was given a chance to showcase his skill in season 5 from Titans and became the main lead defender of the Titans. His fearsome ankle holds in the left corner made him the third most successful defender of season 5.
However season 5 was Vishal’s breakthrough season as he scored 71 points in 22 matches with an average 3.22 tackles per match. Bhardwaj scored 5 high 5’s and 3 super tackles in his entire season 5 campaign for Telugu Titans.

He scored 58 points in just 9 matches he played which includes 16 points in a do or die situation and having an average of 6.44 raid points per match. In a match against U Mumba in Chennai he scored 8 points which helped Haryana to take the match away from them. 3. Nitin Rawal(Jaipur Pink Panthers):

First debuted in season 5 of Pro Kabaddi League for Jaipur, Nitin Rawal an exceptional all-rounder playing for Jaipur Pink Panthers even this year had an amazing debut season last year with second best player in the Jaipur squad after Pawan Kumar. The all-rounder’s impeccable timing on tackles and a great ability to pick up raid points even at crucial times gave viewers a treat to watch him on both sides of the mat. With exceptional ability of dashing the raider out and picking up raid points, Rawal was an balanced all-rounder. He took 65 raid points and 20 tackle points, with overall 85 points in season 5 Rawal is a young all-rounder to keep an eye on this season.

4. Abozar Mohajermighan (Telugu Titans):

The Iranian defender making debut for Gujarat Fortune Giants in season 5 of PKL was right corner powerhouse and was sensational to watch him with his stunning back holds and thigh holds. His ability to look-out to capitalise on the mistakes made by the raider made him fearless in right corner. Debutant Mighani was 5th most successful defender in season 5 and was most successful defender for the Gujarat franchise. Having 66 points in 24 matches and seeing his contribution to the team in winning gold in Asian games Kabaddi, The Iranian powerhouse on right corner of Telugu Titans squad is on the line, ready for the panga.

5. Girish Maruthi Ernak(Puneri Paltan) :

The star defender in Asian games for India in the left corner and season 5 lead defender for Puneri Paltan was none other than Girish Ernak. He had an amazing time playing in Asian games and Dubai Kabaddi Masters representing India and was the key defender for them with his perfectly timed dashes and ankle holds which helped India clinch Dubai Masters. In the PKL he played for Pune franchise and had an amazing season with them with having overall 180 points in 69 matches he played so far.
