ATK, the Kolkata based ISL franchise are in immediate search of a new player in offence to replace the newly loaned in Emiliano Alfaro as the Uruguyan suffered an ankle injury within three days of his joining to ATK.
Sources are confirming that the British gaffer Steve Coppell has already took a trial of his expected Australian man to fill into the former’s boots. The Sanjeev Goenka owned side has got a special affinity for Eli Babalj.
This 26 year old 195 cms tall Serbian origin Australian forward has scored 28 goals out of his 93 appearances and has represented Australia in the U20 and U23 age groups. Babalj is quite well known in the A-League for his capabilities to push the ball well in to the back of the net. Babalj has played for the likes of Adelaide United in A-League and also represented famous Dutch club AZ Alkmaar and Serbian giants Red Star. Babalj represented the Socceroos twice and also has two international goals to his name. The young gun is club less from January 2018 and is expected to have his debut in ISL wearing the ATK shirt.
