Kroos: "We want to continue making history, that's our objective"

Real Madrid’s German midfield master Toni Kroos sounded determined as ever in the post match press-conference of the FIFA Club World Cup semis as Real Madrid booked their place in the Club World Cup final with a 3-1 win over Kashima Antlers on Wednesday.

The German midfielder spoke to the press shortly after the game, giving his thoughts on various talking points from the match.

He started by singling out star man on the night, Gareth Bale, who netted a hat-trick. “He deserves it, he made a real effort. He wasn’t 100 per cent but he still played a great match,” he said.

Finally, he spoke of midfield colleague Marcos Llorente. “He has shown that he was capable of playing here (at Real Madrid). He always trains well and is physically strong, and when you work hard you get your reward, and that’s how he has managed it. He is playing very well at the moment”.

Speaking about the form of Los Blancos, Toni Kroos voiced his positivity as he concluded the interaction saying, “We want to continue making history. That’s our objective.”
