As the I-League slowly progresses towards the business end, Real Kashmir have already shown why they represent this league with their own style of play. The snow leopards have won 10 out of possible 12 points and undefeated in last 4 games which shows their consistency.
Real Kashmir was lacking some forward force in the front, but defensively they are strong. Their home performance is bit up and down but last 4 games they are undefeated which keeps them in an advantageous position facing mighty Chennai City FC.
The gaffer David Robertson commented about the past games’ performance by saying, “Defensively we are tight we have solid lads in all positions of the field, we are isolated in the front, but now we have good attacking players upfront performing very well which shows the morale of our team.”
Every team in this league has struggled to defeat Chennai City, the Coimbatore based club is playing their high flying football under their Singaporean coach Akbar Nawas. Robertson will have this thought in the mind before heading in to the pitch, should come with strategies to hold Chennai City in the bay in their fortress.
Real Kashmir gaffer clearly insisted that, “They have good attacking players they put everything on the line for winning the game, it shows how desperate they are going for the three points”. He also said that they are pushing more bodies forward which will be a tedious task for opposition defence and they will do it consistently.
Real Kashmir is slowly peaking up in the latter stages of the league, they have started to show exceptional results in I-League by defeating Shillong Lajong 6-1 in home shows the firepower of the side.
Moving to the South of India, it is very hot compared to Srinagar’s weather, hence players will need to acclimitize to the climatic change and it may become tough for Kashmir players.
About the climatie and team morale Robertson insisted that, “The weather condition are good when compared to Kashmir its quite warm here and I hope it will be perfect conditions for a football match tomorrow”.
By correlating all the points stated above it is going to be a high intensity game in Coimbatore as Chennai City will not bow down in their fortress. Real Kashmir with the recent performances will not give a easy game to the league toppers either. It might well become a tactical duel of the two foreign coaches.
