Kerala Blasters planning to make use the January Transfer window to improve their squad.
Kerala Blasters are one of the most followed football clubs in India, they had many expectations to fulfil this season and they did promise it to the fans and signed few good names while retaining old stars. Blasters started this Indian Super League season on a high note by beating ATK at Kolkata with an amazing performance but just like last few seasons, the team wasn’t consistent and couldn’t deliver putting themselves out of the top four.
Blasters have sacked their head coach David James as fans weren’t happy with their coach’s method and he wasn’t able to create a strategy for his eleven. He was sacked soon after the horrific 6-1 defeat against Mumbai City but it seems that sacking the coach was just a first move. According to sources Blasters are planning to terminate contract of few of the under-performing players and are planning to bring new ones using the January Transfer window.
The players and the club are ready for mutual termination of contract which will hurt less for both parties. These players are said to be in talks with other ISL and other league clubs. The details of the players aren’t revealed yet, Blasters are yet to sign a head coach after the departure of James.
Kerala Blasters need a change, they are out of Indian Super League top 4 this season but still, they can fight for the top 6 which will guarantee an Indian Super Cup spot for the Kochi based club.
