ATK formally parted away with their Moroccan midfielder Noussair El Maimouni this week as Talksports24x7 can confirm. The World Cupper has already joined Moroccan side Moghreb Tétouan where he has formerly played. This transfer will surely bring back the Sanjeev Goenka owned side to an economic stability as ISL has already implemented the salary cap of 17.5 Cr for each franchise at the start of this season.
Maimouni was not getting plenty of game time under ATK Head coach Steve Coppell as he missed most of the gaffer’s starting line up, that probably made some rumours arising about this medio’ s transfer last month. But Noussair himself told Talksports24x7 that he is “not aware of it now”. But it seems he changed his mind at last to part away with the two times ISL champion as he said “I have finished my full transfer to Tetouan” this week.
ATK is presently on a target to sign in two foreign offensive players in order to sharpen their attacking skills. This move seems to be one to create the space for the new striker. The flying tigers have already signed in Indian ace defender Pritam Kotal and Spanish winger Edu Garcia in the current transfer window and is close to make some more moves too.
