Kerala Blasters centre-back Anas Edathodika has retired from the Indian national team. The 31-year-old defender took to social media to announce his decision.

Anas Edathodika is a former Indian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League. On 15th January 2019, he announced his retirement from international football.His farewell match was with the India national team on 14 January 2019 against Bahrain at the Al-Sharjah Stadium, Sharjah.

The malappuram center back have retired from indian football team due to the continious injury .he has 19 caps played for indian international team.he was a late commer to indian team,he entered at the age of 30 and the debuting match was against cambodia in march 2017. The combo center back between jhingan and anas era had came to end .Hope for the new talents to enter into national team as Anas wish.
