The 24-Year old Argentinian Midfielder is under the radar of the French Champions, Le Parisians and as well as the former Premier League Champions The Pensioners.
After the exit of Cesc Fabregas to AS Monaco as a free transfer, Chelsea had targeted Zenit St Petersburg Central Midfielder Paredes to fill the position of Fabregas. On the other hand, Paredes was the longtime target of Ligue1 Champions PSG.
Zenit St Petersburg are demanding a fee around €40m where Chelsea initially approached with €30m which got turned down. PSG are also ready to pay about €35-36m initially and they have clarified that they are ready to pay more than the Londoners to secure the services of Paredes.
Chelsea gaffer Maurizio Sarri is clear that he needs a better replacement for Fabregas before the match ahead of Arsenal. “We need a replacement, in my opinion. Marina knows very well my opinion. So I’m not frustrated at the moment.”
Leandro Paredes had represented Argentina U-15 as well as in U-17 level. He was the part of Superclásico de las Américas winning Argentina team in 2017. For his nation he had netted a goal against Singapore in an international friendly. In his club career out of 140 appearances, he has netted 20 Goals.
Now Chelsea is delaying to decide to increase the bid amount, so possibly he could move for the Ligue 1 side PSG if the French giants place a prominent bid in the meantime.
