The January transfer window for Indian Super League will see eighth placed Kerala Blasters sign new custodian from third placed FC Goa to strengthen their squad ahead of the last eight games, hoping to qualify to the semi-finals.
Two times runner up Kerala Blasters will be making the signing of former custodian of twice I-League champions Bengaluru FC- Lalthuammawia Ralte. Ralte has been a bench warmer for the Gaurs throughout this season.
FC Goa signed Ralte before the start of this season but he has failed to earn a single appearance at his club. The keeper had a good season at Bengaluru in 2014-15 winning the I-League for them and starting all the matches that season but in 2015 when Gurpreet Singh Sandhu joined the club, he lost his position of the first choice keeper.
He was then loaned to NorthEast United where he remained at the bench throughout before FC Goa signed him this season. However, young custodian Mohammad Nawaz impressed Sergio Lobera to start all matches for his team.
Ralte will look forward to start for Blasters and prove his credibility to Nelo Vingada.
Blasters lie on eighth spot with 9 points from 12 games, winning once, drawing six and losing five. They next face ATK on the 25th of January at J.N. Stadium, Kochi and will hope to deliver their best, inspite of having a slight chance of advancing to the playoffs.
