Kerala Blasters seems to be in a period of worse date as they suffer another blow in the current week.
Sources confirmed to Talk Sports 24×7 that Kerala Blasters midfielder Zakeer Mundampara has bagged a six month suspension from the AIFF Disciplinary Committee. This will lead the 28 year old local talent of the “tuskers” to miss rest of their ISL fixtures and probably also the Super Cup if Blasters make the cut.

Zakeer has played five games for Kerala this season and has been a continuous support on bench for the former Head Coach David James. Previously he had played for Chennaiyin FC and has been a part of their champion squad for ISL 2015. This suspension definitely turned off chances for this local talent from south to play under their newly incharged gaffer Nelo Vingada in the current season of ISL.
AIFF has found Zakeer guilty on the ground of throwing the ball at the referee’s face during an ongoing ISL match and has also compelled him to pay a fine of rupees one lakh for this misconduct against the match officials.
Kerala Blasters officials are thinking of writing application to AIFF to reduce the intensity of punishment.
