Two times ISL champion ATK is set to release Andrey Bikey as sources confirm to Talk Sports 24×7. After a ruthless spoiler against Kerala Blasters in the second half of ISL, ATK is desperate to get into the playoffs this season and their strong activities in the transfer window proves it well as they brought in Spanish winger Edu Garcia and Indian ace defender Pritam Kotal under their tent in the current window.
The Steve Coppell managed side has already got a lot of options including foreigners Johnson and Gerson in the defence but is lacking vehemently in the attacking third. Andrey Bikey constantly failed to come up with better defensive skills against KBFC which he was expected to show and thus creating a lot of loopholes in the ATK defence allowing the opposition to penetrate.
This move seems to be the one to create the void to bring in a new foreign striker in order to boost up the flying tigers attack. ATK’s target man Kalu Uche still seems to be unfit as he suffered a lot against Blasters in getting himself back on the ball forcing the management to bring in some new man on strike along with newly signed Edu Garcia to turn tables for them.
Previously Bikey played under Coppell in Jamshedpur FC last season and he shadowed the English man to Kolkata but this time the rapport seems to have not turned into fruit as they have decided to part ways with each other.
