It was a heartfelt 2-1 loss for Jamshedpur FC as Lanzarote’s brace made their journey to the top four much tougher. With this loss, Jamshedpur FC is now levelled with ATK and are currently at fifth place behind Northeast United.

After the match, Cesar Ferrando gave his views on the match in the postmatch conference. He said, “I think ATK were really good. We made two big mistakes. We had to stop the player who were running at us from the halfway line and taking the ball away from us and only these two mistakes cost the game. In the second half, we made more chances to level the match and it was much to be done in the last minutes. It was two free kicks and two goals there is nothing we could do about it. I am proud of my team though we made two big mistakes.”

Cesar on the chances of his team finishing in the top four said, “Four matches to go, the most important thing is the match at Mumbai and we currently need to win all the matches till the end of the season. Now the focus will be on the recovery for my players and Now all that we are thinking about is facing Mumbai.”

On the absence of the important players like Tim Cahill, Ceaser said,” When you play a strong team like ATK, You need to have your full resources. But there is nothing we could do about it. Though we didn’t have our best player on the pitch, We still tried our best to win the match.”

When asked if his front three underperformed today. Cesar said, “Faruk, Jerry all of them played pretty well but they are players, players can play well on a day and not that good on the next day. But today I am very very happy with the performance and we haven’t lost the game due to the young players.”
