After a sub-standard season in the Indian Super League, the most supported ISL franchise Kerala Blasters are determined to revive their fortunes in the coming season and have already started the team-building process. TalkSports 24X7 can confirm that the Kochi based franchise have extended the contract of their talented player Sahal Abdul Samad for three years.
Sahal was one of the very few players in Blasters squad last season who looked confident and was the youthful spark for the Men in Yellow. He is smart, has a quick feet and a ton of tricks to beat his opponent. He is being compared to Arsenal and former Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil due to his similarity of their playing style by the Blasters fans which shows the attachment that the local people have grown with the player.
The 22 Year old Kannuar born midfielder can help the team in both attacking and stealing the ball back from the opponent as Sahal works hard on the field and this has made him the ‘Hero ISL Emerging Player of the Year last Season’.
Sahal has extended his contract for next three seasons. He had offer from an undisclosed foreign club but he opted to stay with the Blasters who gave him the opportunity to impress the Indian football circuit at a young age.
