It was a very memorable day for Bret “The Hitman” Hart when he was tackled by a fan during his speech at the WWE Hall of Famer Ceremony. Bret was honoured at the WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, Saturday night at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn as the Hart Foundation was inducted as a part of the class of 2019 but his speech was interupted in a scary scene.
While Bret was speaking about his Hart Foundation partner Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, who passed away in 2018, a crazy “Fan” breaking over the barricades ran into the rind and tackled Bret from behind. Both Bret and Natalya who were present on the ring fell down. The camera feed was instantly cut, but Security Guards and WWE Superstars gathered at ringside invaded the ring to aid Hart. The chants of “Lock him Up” echoed throughout the auditorium as the WWE Universe was really unhappy with the intervention.
Some videos clearly show that the invader was paid back the dues with some blows from the WWE superstars including the UFC Fighter and Ronda Rousey’s husband Travis Browne, Braun Strowman and Dash Wilder. The culprit was quickly escorted out of the stadium, while Hart received cheers from the crowd as he returned back to the mic. The fans from all over the world praised “The Hit Man” with their tweets for his professionalism and sincerity.
With his induction as a member of the Hart foundation, Hart is one of only four wrestlers- along with Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and Booker T to become a two time hall of Famer.
