I-League side Gokulam Kerala FC has already roped in some prominent names ahead of their new season. Inspite of building a good team last season, they failed to live upto the expectations as they finished at the bottom half of the I-League table.
But this season the Calicut based club are looking determined to make a statement in the national scene. TalkSports 24X7 can confirm that GKFC has roped in Mizo side Chhinga Veng’s youngster Lalmuanzova. The 20-year old has previously played for Aizawl FC and is a well known name in the Mizoram football circuit. The midfielder is recognised as ‘one for the future’ and has terrific pace which can take a toll of the opponent defenders.
Lalmuanzova had contract with Chhinga Veng and as a consequence GKFC had to pay transfer fee to land the player in Kerala. The transfer agreement between the two clubs was made on 25th July.
Lalmuanzova played in the last edition of the 2nd Division I-League where he scored two goals against Mohammedan Sporting and Jamshedpur FC Reserves playing for Chhinga Veng. Now it remains to be seen how Gokulam’s Spanish gaffer Fernando Santiago utilises this new young weapon of his in the coming season.
