After the departure of Classic Group, former I-League runners-up NEROCA FC were in total jeopardy. Amidst an unsure future many of their first team players have left for other I-League clubs leaving the fans of the Imphal based outfit disappointed.
But the NEROCA faithfuls more commonly known as the Orange Brigade will be happy to know the news of the arrival of Abinash Ruidas at Imphal. According to sources, the former East Bengal and Mohun Bagan player has agreed personal terms with the club and is set to sign a 1-Year contract with NEROCA.
Ruidas who mostly plays as a left winger was considered ‘the next big thing’ in his initial days until the boy from Budge Budge got entangled in the signature-saga with East Bengal. Later on he played for Mumbai City FC in ISL and donned the Green and Maroon of jersey of Mohun Bagan last season where his contract expired in May.
Ruidas and NEROCA arrived at a mutual agreement on personal terms on 15th August. The player is expected to sign for the Manipuri club once he returns from the office league.
