One day ago TalkSports 24X7 reported the news of Abinash Ruidas joining NEROCA FC. The former East Bengal and Mohun Bagan winger will be seen donning the Orange outfit of the Imphal based club.
If sources are to be believed then the former I-League runners-up have roped in another player for the upcoming season. Zodingliana Ralte, the Mizo winger will be playing for NEROCA FC in the upcoming season.
Zodingliana is a well-known name in the Indian football circuit. The 24 Year old boy primarily plays as left-winger but can also play as left-back. Zodingliana came through the youth ranks of Shillong Lajong and represented their senior side from 2013 to 2018. In the meantime he played for three ISL franchises on loan from Lajong namely NorthEast United, Delhi Dynamos and FC Pune City. He was an integral part of NorthEast and Dynamos where he played 10 and 12 matches respectively in ISL before joining Pune where he played only once in ISL.
In 2018, he signed for FC Goa reserves and played the I-League second division last time making his debut against Hindustan FC. Ralte has represented India U14, U16 and U19 teams as well.
It seems Gift Raikhan is in mood to solidify the left side of the pitch as both Ruidas and Ralte will prove to be capable enough options for him. After initial hiccups due to departure of Classic Group, NEROCA officials have now settled down again and are trying to make a competitive team with the limited options available. If sources are to be believed then the Imphal based club is in talks with a Malaysia based agency which would supply them the foreign players and may also facilitate in investment.
