Mohamed Larbi the Tunisian star who plays for Mumbai City FC, a club in Indian Super League is a midfielder. The 32 year old started his career in 2009 with a French club called AFC Compiègne.

He is having a wonderful season and the fans expect from him to perform in every match. Talking about his performance he said, “I’m satisfied with my performance but I know I can be better because I didn’t have any preparations before coming here.”
His abilities to control the ball makes him a crucial player in the team, his presence gives Mumbai City FC an edge over the others. His partnership with Amine Chermiti is super hit this year, who is the top scorer for Mumbai this year. Larbi quoted, “I know Amine since a long time because we played together in France for 6 months, we have a very good relationship.”
Larbi’s 4 assists in 9 games, makes him 2nd highest assists maker in the ISL this season. Even after the referees making many mistakes this season, it didn’t affect Larbi and he didn’t criticize them, he said, “I don’t like to criticize the refs because it is so difficult for them, we all have players and refs looking to progress and make fewest mistakes.”
His excellent relationship with Coach Jorge Costa makes the difference, he gives full credit to Costa for making him come to India. They both know each other from France, and Costa convinced him to join Mumbai. The Tunisian came to Mumbai this season and is very happy with his team’s environment and feels MCFC is a family where everyone is positive with a smile on their face always. His experience in India has been very positive whether on or off the field till now and looks forward to continue here.
Larbi thinks India is a very good footballing nation and nothing is missing in it, it will grow eventually. “ISL is a good quality championship that will continue to evolve and progress with time”, he said.
His future with Mumbai doesn’t seem to be stable as he commented, “My priority is Mumbai but I did not close the door to any another option”. The transfer season is round the corner and it can change the future of Mohamed Larbi.
