The match between the two last placed teams in ISL ended with the scoreline of 3-1 yesterday with Chennaiyin winning it comfortably that means Hyderabad FC remain bottom of the league with their 9th loss of the season. Their only win of the season came at home against Kerala Blasters when they won 2-1. It looks like the season for HFC will end with them finishing bottom of the table with the squad lacking any winning qualities.
Here we have churned out the five major talking points from the match.
HFC concede first again:
A new match but same fate repeated as HFC concede and leak goals first against their opponents. This time it was a mistake by Ashish Rai who gave the ball to Valskis who passed it to Crivellaro who slotted it past Kamaljit. If Hyderabad aspires to attract anything positive in the upcoming matches, then they have to develop their defensive co-ordination.
Hyderabad fail to win again:
Hyderabad FC fail to win a game as their win against Kerala Blasters at home remain the only win this season. It looks like they are never going to win a game this season. They look like a team without a proper solution to their defensive and attacking capabilities. The franchise came into existence this season on the soil of Hyderabad which was once the centre of Indian football giving many people hopes of restoring the footballing culture in the city. Although there were positive signs initially, with such performances the following of the local crowd to the franchise has diminished over the time.
Chennaiyin looked the more prepared team:
Chennaiyin FC started the game strong and ultimately were gifted the goal which put the hosts into more trouble as they went to concede another just after the first one. The team was setup to put more misery on the last placed team in this season and they did it comfortably by winning the match 3-1. The visitors were clearly more strategically prepared regarding this game than the hosts which reflected in their game.
Marcelinho goal the only positive for the home side:
The only positive for Phil Brown was that his star player and captain Marcelinho scored a consolation although it was too late for a comeback to put. The fans enjoyed the goal.
Valskis helps his team break the away record jinx:
CFC came with a view to win the match and they won with the help of their star foreign player Valskis who scored 2 goals and assisted 1 to get the 3 points for the away team and break their record of no wins in away matches.
